These gluten free Sprouted Flax Seeds have been soaked (sprouted), then gently dried at very low temperatures. This age-old, traditional practice changes the nutrient composition of the seed. It liberates enzymes that would remain dormant in raw (unsprouted) seeds, and are otherwise destroyed during high-temperature cooking/roasting. These liberated enzymes maximize the nutritional value and make them very easy to digest.
These seeds can be used in your own recipes, such as granola and cereals, and smoothies. They can be eaten by the handfuls, or sprinkled on diced fruit or salads. Grind them, and they can be used as a gluten free flour. They contain no salt, no sugar, and no preservatives.
